Having no bass guitar, and not happy with any of the default Bass Sim patches (in combination with the guitar I use), I began tweaking and ended up using this patch for a couple of pieces. I was looking for a bass sound that didn't get lost in the mix but didn't dominate either. Results may vary depending on which guitar you use.

This is based on P36 'Tight Bass'. The Compression Effect and input setting are what make this patch unique. I use the humbucker pickup only and the treble turned all the way down (wanted distinct notes but no string noise).

You might want to keep this track level a little lower so the bass doesn't dominate but you will have a good bass sound nonetheless.
